Over the past 20 years, the "10 million project" has created thousands of beautiful villages, benefited thousands of Zhejiang people, and written a story of development and prosperity. With curiosity and thinking about the high-quality development of Chinese society, Tim visited Zhejiang on the eve of the Spring Festival. He and his Chinese friends traveled from west to east, across the mountains in southwest Zhejiang, through the prosperous areas of the Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou-Shaoshan Plain, and to the blue waters of the Zhoushan Islands.

During the journey, they saw fellow villagers working together, kind-hearted people passing on the baton to each other, people from all over the world treating each other as relatives and friends, young people in their prime pursuing their dreams, and they also saw the rush and response across mountains and seas.

The documentary uses a road movie shooting method to track and film five groups of stories on beautiful rural themes, including the inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of colored ribbons in Jingning She Autonomous County of Lishui, the in-depth integration of public welfare with industrial development in Kaihua County of Quzhou, the creation of a new countryside integrating art and environmental protection concepts in Qingshan Village of Yuhang, Hangzhou, and the elderly in Baisha Island of Zhoushan using technology to provide "old-age medical care and old-age care". Through Tim Haig's personal experience and observation, in-depth visits and exchanges, the documentary shows the world the earth-shaking changes that have taken place in the face of China's rural areas, allowing more people to understand the practice and exploration of China's path to modernization.

Achieving high-quality development is an important feature of China's modernization. The documentary "Going to the Mountains and Seas Together" records Zhejiang's practice in implementing the "Ten Million Project" and promoting rural revitalization in multiple dimensions through documentary images. It shows the comprehensive achievements and unique path of China's modernization through delicate lens language, and shares the system, path, theory and cultural wisdom of China's modernization with global audiences.

Sun Lijun, chairman of the Alibaba Foundation, said that in order to deepen and implement the work of helping rural revitalization, we must adapt to local conditions and work in the field. In Zhejiang, Alibaba has sent rural commissioners to Jingning County in Lishui, Kaihua County in Quzhou, and Shengsi County in Zhoushan. They will work closely with local governments to explore new ways for private enterprises to help rural revitalization with the direction of talent cultivation, industrial upgrading, cultural tourism and inclusive services.

He also said that Alibaba will continue to rely on the power of technology, business and charity, and work hand in hand with all sectors of society to embark on this far-reaching journey to mountains and seas, and contribute to building a more prosperous and harmonious rural future.
