Hualong.com (Reporter Wu Lishuang, Intern Long Yan) On August 14, the movie "Charge", adapted from a true story in Chongqing, started advance screenings in Chongqing. The "Chongqing Spirit" was brought to the big screen. A line in the film, "Chongqing people are strong, can endure hardships, are brave and never admit defeat," deeply touched the hearts of the citizens who watched the movie and aroused strong resonance among the crowd.

The film is set in Chongqing and focuses on a group of dockers on the football team. It tells the story of a grassroots team fighting back and striving for the Eternal Bowl championship. At the Chongqing premiere, the main creators shared the original intention of filming the film. Director Jiang Jiachen said: "It is the passion, enthusiasm, and straightforwardness of the Chongqing brothers, as well as the tenacious and optimistic Chongqing spirit, that gave "Clash" its lifeblood."

Behind a vibrant film is a little-known filming process. What kind of memories did Chongqing, the filming location, leave for the creators? What interesting stories happened during the filming? Director Jiang Jiachen and starring actors Li Jiuxiao and Wang Qianyuan accepted an exclusive interview with Hualong.com reporters.

"Passionate and hot shooting"

The film's creators praised the people of Shancheng

Why did he make this movie? Jiang Jiachen admitted that what attracted him to the story of the Dockers Rugby Team was the boldness and passion of the people of Chongqing. In this story, a group of seemingly unreliable people came together, and then a chemical reaction occurred, and they did something particularly reliable, which was both interesting and powerful.

During the actual filming, Jiang Jiachen was even more impressed by the people of Chongqing. He said that the hospitality of the people of Chongqing provided great convenience for the filming of the movie. "Since the film was shot entirely in Chongqing, both the interior and exterior scenes required real scenes. Every Chongqing person we met not only cooperated with the filming, but also took the initiative to recommend filming locations, which deeply touched the entire team."

The two leading actors also have deep feelings for Chongqing. As an actor who has filmed in Chongqing many times, Wang Qianyuan's love for this city is beyond words. He especially mentioned that he admired the spirit of Chongqing porters, and that the indomitable and courageous power deeply influenced him. In the movie "Rush", he was able to convey this spirit to the audience through the role, and he said it was an honor.

As an actor from Sichuan, Li Jiuxiao uses his own acting experience to interpret the character of Chongqing people as a boy from Sichuan and Chongqing. He associates the steep mountains of Chongqing with the tenacity of the porters, believing that this is the epitome of the character of Chongqing people. Just like Liu Yonggan, the character he plays, he never gives up when faced with difficulties, and works hard to move forward. This spirit inspires him to keep moving forward on the road of acting.

“The coexistence of local flavor and internationalization”

The leading actors expressed their feelings about the magical Chongqing, a fusion of ancient and modern times

In addition to the character of Chongqing people, the city's landscape also left a deep impression on the creators. When talking about the biggest feeling of filming in Chongqing, Jiang Jiachen used the word "fireworks" to describe it. He believes that the straightforward, generous and fiery character of Chongqing people gives this city a unique fireworks atmosphere.

In order to truly present this kind of life atmosphere, the film uses a lot of Chongqing dialect and makes ingenious adjustments in the character setting. The prototype of the protagonist Liu Yonggan is a student, but in the film, he is set as the son of the owner of a tofu pudding shop. He rides a motorcycle every day between the ramps of the city to deliver tofu pudding to customers. Such changes make the film more "Yu flavor" and make the characters more lifelike.

"Tofu pudding is Chongqing's signature food, and climbing up the hill reflects Chongqing's unique topographical features. This setting makes the film more approachable," Jiang Jiachen explained. At the same time, the integration of Chongqing's landmark attractions such as the Yangtze River Cableway in the film also shows Chongqing's magical temperament. As one of the leading actors, Wang Qianyuan deeply felt the fusion of ancient and modern Chongqing. He said that Chongqing's ancient streets and alleys, modern high-rise buildings, and cableways across the river not only show the city's historical heritage, but also reflect its modern urban style.

For Li Jiuxiao, this city has a special meaning. Eight years ago, he first embarked on the filming journey of the movie "Hot Pot Heroes" here. Now, he has set foot in the mountain city again, feeling the changes of Chongqing and his own growth. "Whether it is transportation or urban scenery, the development speed of Chongqing is amazing. Especially when filming the ending scene of "Crash", everyone in the crew was shocked by the grand scale of Longxing Stadium. It is grand and modern, and it is a strong proof of Chongqing's internationalization." Li Jiuxiao said.

It is reported that "Rush" will be screened in Chongqing on August 16 and released nationwide on August 23. Advance pre-sale is now open. Let's go to the cinema to witness this legendary true story.
