According to Fast Technology on August 14, foreign media sources revealed that the iPhone 16 series will be equipped with a new operation button that will make it easier to take photos in landscape mode.

It is reported that the new operation button of the iPhone 16 series is located on the right side of the phone, opposite to the power button. It will support multiple gestures and respond to different pressing pressures. It works in a similar way to the shutter button on a SLR camera.

Users can focus by lightly touching the button, press hard to shoot, slide to adjust focal length, and long press to lock focus and exposure.

Additionally, this button may also have a gesture for switching between photo mode and video mode, similar to the mode switching in the iPhone camera app.

While the button appears in renders and mockups of all models in the iPhone 16 series, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said this week that it may only be available on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 pro Max.

In addition, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have also undergone major upgrades in terms of camera. They will be equipped with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and may introduce an ultra-telephoto periscope camera to further enhance the photography experience.

In addition to the new operation buttons and camera upgrades, the iPhone 16 series will also be equipped with a larger display, an A18 chip that supports Apple Intelligence, and 8GB RAM as standard for the entire series, and will be available to everyone in September this year.
