Azerbaijan News Network article on August 12, original title: China's leap forward - what awaits the world in the near future?Despite the complex geopolitical situation and attempts by some to stop China's development, the situation in the past year and the first half of this year shows that China has successfully overcome various difficulties and is making continuous progress on the path of high-quality development.
Beijing's optimism is not groundless, but is based on globally recognized real data. The latest report of the International Monetary Fund raised its forecast for China's economic growth this year from 4.6% to 5%. China's major macroeconomic indicators, such as GDP growth, consumer prices and balance of payments, have remained stable, and foreign exchange reserves have remained above US$3.2 trillion for seven consecutive months...
China does have much to be proud of. The “Chinese economic miracle” is not an empty phrase. China has continued to move forward and has achieved incredible results, which is a fact that no one can dispute. In the past decade, China has become a leading technological power, catching up with the former leaders, the United States and Europe. In 2023, China’s unicorns accounted for a quarter of the world’s total, and China also has 24 of the world’s top technology clusters. Technological innovation is at the core of China’s development and national strength, and it is also the driving force behind China’s steady progress. China recognizes that it is more challenging to work under the current geopolitical and geoeconomic conditions and must keep its mind clear.
The correct development approach is considered to have a broader vision, emphasizing cooperation, openness and inclusiveness. It is against this background that the relationship between China and Azerbaijan continues to develop. In 2023, the bilateral trade volume between Azerbaijan and China was US$3.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 43.5%. Currently, more than 300 Chinese companies are registered in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan hopes to expand scientific and technological cooperation with China and learn from China's experience in economic modernization. It is believed that all countries cooperating with China have the same interest. Beijing is willing to share knowledge and adhere to the policy of common development of mankind and the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, which is also one of the foundations of China's success.
