Dajiang.com/Ji'an Headlines Client News Yu Wensheng, reporterPeng XiaohuaReport: On August 8, Zhu Fanxin, son of founding major general Zhu Jiasheng from Lianhua County, Pingxiang City, and a group of five people came to Yangxi Town, Anfu County, Ji'an City to trace the footsteps of their fathers. They visited Yu Xiaojin, the grandson of Yu Kuangnan, a martyr of the Red Sixth Army, and expressed their gratitude to him in person for saving his father's life during the Long March of the Red Army.
It is understood that the founding major general Zhu Jiasheng was the former deputy director of the Political Department of the Xinjiang Military Region and an old Red Army soldier who came out of the Hunan-Jiangxi border area. In his later years, the old general conducted an investigation of military history materials such as the Red Sixth Army Corps, the predecessor of the Southern Xinjiang Military Region, and his footprints covered more than 20 counties and cities in more than 10 provinces across the country, and wrote a memoir "Floating Bonfire".
When General Zhu Jiasheng was alive, he told his son Zhu Fanxin many times that when they were crossing the grassland during the Long March, the martyr Yu Kuangnan, then the head of the Organization Section of the Political Department of the Model Division of the Red Sixth Army, once saved his life, which made him unforgettable for the rest of his life. He hoped that one day his son would be able to find the martyr's descendants for him and express his gratitude in person.
Since then, Zhu Fanxin has always kept his father's instructions in mind and has tried many ways to find the descendants of the martyr Yu Kuangnan, but there has been no news. In April this year, in order to collect more historical materials of the Red Sixth Army, Zhu Fanxin contacted Li Jinfan, a descendant of the martyrs of the Red Sixth Army and a red culture volunteer in Qianshan Township, Anfu County, and entrusted him to help find the descendants of the martyrs of the Red Sixth Army in the county.
Soon after, Li Jinfan obtained a family photo of Yu Kuangnan, a revolutionary martyr certificate and other relevant information from a local red culture researcher. On May 4, he went to the Xiantang natural village of Yaojia Village, Yangxi Town, and found Yu Xiaojin, the grandson of Yu Kuangnan. He verified the relevant information of the martyr and then sent the information to Zhu Fanxin. After receiving the information, Zhu Fanxin immediately expressed his willingness to visit the descendants of the martyr at an appropriate time.
From August 3rd to 4th, a theoretical seminar on the 90th anniversary of the Red Army's Long March Vanguard and the Red Sixth Army's Westward Expedition with the theme of "Exploring the Source of the Long March and Promoting the Spirit of the Long March" was held in Ji'an City. As descendants of the Red Sixth Army, Zhu Fanxin and his wife were invited to attend the seminar and donated more than 120 copies of "The Fluttering Bonfire" and the manuscript of "The Last Red Army" with the "List of Soldiers of the Red Sixth Army".
After attending the seminar, Zhu Fanxin and his wife went to Yangxi Town, Anfu County on August 8 to visit Yu Xiaojin, the grandson of the martyr Yu Kuangnan. At Yu Xiaojin's home, Zhu Fanxin and others looked at Yu Kuangnan's revolutionary martyr certificate and family photos before he joined the revolution, and told the descendants of the martyr that when the Red Army crossed the grassland during the Long March, the martyr Yu Kuangnan had saved his father's life. In the memoirs written by General Zhu Jiasheng, they found a passage of memories about the martyr Yu Kuangnan saving his father's life. Between the lines, the old general revealed his deep gratitude to the martyr. Afterwards, Zhu Fanxin presented Yu Xiaojin with two books, "The Floating Bonfire" and "The Last Red Army - List of Survivors of the Red Sixth Army", and took a photo with him.
It is reported that both Zhu Jiasheng and Yu Kuangnan were Red Army veterans who came from the Hunan-Jiangxi border area. They met when they crossed the grassland during the Long March and formed a deep comradeship. For decades, General Zhu Jiasheng has been thinking about finding the descendants of the martyr Yu Kuangnan. This time, Zhu Fanxin finally fulfilled his father's request.
Yu Xiaojin said excitedly that before, his father and he only knew that his grandfather had gone out to join the revolution in his early years and had served as the head of the Organization Section of the Political Department of the 17th Red Army Division, but they didn't know where he died later. Now they are fortunate to know, and they have also put an end to their thoughts.
