It is understood that the film will be released in major theaters across the country on August 16. As a black comedy with suspense but full of self-mockery as the main style, the film "The Courage of Cowardice" took Rongcheng Shidao as one of the filming locations, using Mandarin and Jiaoliao Mandarin as the main languages, vividly bringing the local customs and people to the big screen. His representative works include "Coastal Departure", "New Legend of Tianpeng", and "Z-shaped Brain Gyre". Among them, "Coastal Departure" was filmed entirely in Muyun'an, Gangwan Street, Dayu Island, and towns and villages such as Ningjin and Wanglian, showing the unique natural scenery and local flavor of Shidao's coastal fishing village.
The script of the movie "The Courage of Cowardice" was among the top 15 "Thirty Years Old" scripts at the Zhejiang Youth International Film Festival, and was shortlisted for the recommended project of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. The finished film was shortlisted for the Best Newcomer Award at the 2024 Cannes International Film Awards in France, and won the Best Newcomer Award at the 2024 Stockholm City Film Festival.
