As the summer heat subsides, the centralized summer camp of the "Shi Xiao Miao" Growth Camp in Shimao Community, Qinchuan Street, Changshu City, has recently concluded successfully. Looking back on the four-week summer activities, the content is rich and colorful and the children have gained a lot.
The community integrates resources from multiple parties, combines "custody" with "education", and provides minors with various forms of social practice activities such as traditional Chinese culture, intangible cultural heritage experience, legal self-protection, field study, career experience, etc. It carries out special series of activities such as "Teaching Chinese Culture to Empower Children's Growth", "I am Part of the Construction of a Strong Country in Science and Technology", "Children's Hearts to the Party, Red Reading Starts the Sail", and "How Much Do You Know about Mortise and Tenon Joints".
In the mortise and tenon handmade experience, the teacher led the children to make abacus, eight-immortal table, storage box, etc., to feel the charm of intangible cultural heritage; in the diabolo and street dance classes, the children sweated and released their energy; in the red storytelling meeting, everyone read the heroic stories and understood the patriotic feelings. This summer care class fully integrated the volunteer service resources of college students returning home, continuously improved the quality of activities, and left more precious memories for the children.
At the same time, the summer care classes actively carry out various special lectures, such as emergency rescue training, legal education classes, anti-school bullying lectures, anti-online fraud classes, etc., to help children improve their legal awareness, enhance their self-rescue ability, and escort their healthy growth.
At the closing ceremony of the summer care class, each child stood on the stage and summarized every detail of their experience in the summer care class: here, they experienced various interesting activities, learned a lot of extracurricular knowledge, and every handicraft, every study trip, and all kinds of details witnessed their growth. "There are many children and interesting activities here. I will participate in the next summer care class!" The children's faces were filled with joy.
