According to reports, this Changchun Film Festival will be held from August 28 to September 1, and a total of 124 films will be collected for participation.
Changchun is the birthplace of New China's films. The China Changchun Film Festival was founded in 1992 and is a film and cultural event renowned both at home and abroad. This year's Changchun Film Festival is hosted by China Central Radio and Television and the People's Government of Jilin Province and undertaken by the People's Government of Changchun City, with the theme of "New Era, New Cradle, New Power".

The 19th China Changchun Film Festival "Golden Deer Award" has 10 awards including Best Film Award, Grand Jury Award, Best Director Award, Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award, Best Screenplay Award, Best Cinematography Award, Best Music Award, Best Editing Award and Best Debut Award.
During the film festival, there will be various screening forms such as open-air screenings and public welfare screenings, and a series of screening activities such as "City Lights" and "Starry Sky Shadows" will be held. We will continue to carry out the Guangming Cinema public welfare project to further convey the "warmth" of light and shadow of the China Changchun Film Festival.
This year's Changchun Film Festival pays more attention to the development trend of the Chinese film industry, gathers the industry's top filmmakers to discuss issues, summarize experiences, build consensus, and further promote the high-quality development of Chinese films. During the festival, a series of exchange activities will be held, including the 7th China Film New Power Forum, the 1st China Film Producers Summit, and the "On the Roots of Drama" seminar.
The press conference on the same day also interpreted the recently released "Jilin Province's Three-Year Action Plan to Promote High-Quality Development of the Film Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan").
The plan proposes 26 measures in eight areas, including promoting film creation and production, promoting the revitalization and development of Changchun Film Group, supporting Changchun City in building a "World Film Capital", improving the film industry chain, promoting the development of new film formats, promoting the healthy development of the film consumption market, strengthening the construction of a talent team, and providing policy support and financial guarantees.
Zhang Zhiwei, deputy director of the organizing committee and director of the executive committee of the 19th China Changchun Film Festival, said that the plan supports Changchun in building a "world film capital", giving full play to the functions of Changchun International Film Capital's comprehensive service platform, attracting more film and television companies to invest and settle in, and realizing the concentrated development of the film and television industry.
In recent years, a large number of popular film and television works such as the movie "Sniper", the TV series "The World", "The Glory of Our Fathers" and "Ice and Snow Sharp Knife Company" have been filmed in Jilin Province, which has produced a wide and far-reaching impact and initially formed a brand agglomeration effect of "filmed in Jilin".
