On August 11, the 5th "Chaoyang Craftsman" selection event, the 2024 Chaoyang District Courier Skills Competition and the "Ankang Cup" competition, hosted by the Chaoyang District Federation of Trade Unions of Beijing, were held. This competition is an important measure for Chaoyang District to further promote the reform of the construction of the industrial workers' team, focus on the implementation of the Future Craftsman Plan for new employment forms, and further help the new employment forms of workers to improve their education, quality and skills. It is also a special event of the Chaoyang District "Ankang Cup" competition. The competition was strongly guided by the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions, and 100 couriers from SF Express, China Post, ZTO Express, JD.com, Deppon, YTO Express and other companies competed on site.
Xing Wei, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and executive vice chairman of the Chaoyang District Federation of Trade Unions, said that this skills competition aims to enhance the professional skills, service level and safety awareness of couriers, find industry spokespersons among couriers, and create a "craftsman business card" and "production reform" brand with Chaoyang characteristics, while promoting the healthy, orderly and high-quality development of the express delivery industry.
The competition is divided into two parts: theoretical knowledge competition and operational skills competition. The theoretical knowledge competition mainly examines the couriers' basic knowledge, professional knowledge, new knowledge and technologies, and safe production knowledge. The operational skills competition focuses on testing the contestants' actual operational capabilities in the entire process of receiving, packaging, and delivering parcels.
After fierce competition, Yan Kepeng, a courier from the Olympic Village area of Chaoyang District of Beijing SF Express Co., Ltd., won the honorary title of "Chaoyang Craftsman" with the highest score. 9 contestants were awarded the title of "Chaoyang Craftsman Master" and 10 contestants were awarded the title of "Chaoyang Expert".
According to reports, the "Chaoyang Craftsmen" selection activity has been held for five consecutive sessions since its launch. The fifth "Chaoyang Craftsmen" selection activity focuses on cultivating new quality productivity, focusing on emerging industries, high-tech industries, cultural and creative industries, and industries that employees are concerned about.
