Nearly eight years after its release, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is experiencing an unexpected surge in popularity, thanks to the upcoming release of a major mod built on top of it.
Counting the original version of the PS3/XBOX360 era, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has a history of 17 years. Although there have been many Modern Warfare games launched since then, the influence of this game is unquestionable.
In 2016, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was released, which also added the series' well-known multiplayer mode. However, in 2020, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered failed to create a sensation among fans because it only included the single-player campaign.
Now the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered H2M" MOD is about to be released, which will reproduce the multiplayer mode of "Modern Warfare 2" in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered".
According to its creators, the H2M mod builds on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and recreates the multiplayer modes and content of Modern Warfare 2 with some "new twists."
Unlike previous mods that aimed to revive Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer mode with Black Ops 3, the H2M MOD is said to be closer to the original experience. This is because it is based on the officially developed Modern Warfare Remastered and shares the same roots.
The development team of H2M MOD promises to adopt an upgrade system very similar to the classic Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer mode, but will also add some new elements to meet the needs of players who are accustomed to the modern system. H2M MOD will provide all the classic Modern Warfare 2 skins, and will also add some new skins, as well as special animation versions. The classic business cards and emblems of Modern Warfare 2 will also return with the new content added by the team. The MOD will also retain all the original Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps, maps of Modern Warfare Remastered, and even several custom maps based on the remastered campaign.
