Beijing News Shell Finance reported on August 13 that according to Qichacha data, there are 34,900 research and study-related companies in China. In 2023, 2,974 related companies were registered, a year-on-year increase of 76.81%. So far, 1,722 companies have been registered in the first seven months of this year, which is basically the same as the same period last year.
From the registration trend, the popularity of research and study first emerged in 2018, and the number of related companies registered soared by 101.69% to 6,321. In 2019, the number of registrations exceeded 10,000 for the first time, reaching 12,600, a year-on-year increase of 99.29%. The number of registrations fell from 2020 to 2022, and 2,974 related companies were registered in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 76.81%.
From a regional perspective, Hunan currently has 5,052 research-related enterprises, ranking first in the country. Guangdong and Shandong currently have 3,789 and 3,437 enterprises, ranking second and third respectively. Data shows that Changsha currently has 3,024 research-related enterprises, leading other cities in the country; Shenzhen ranks second with 1,777 related enterprises.
The market for summer study tours is booming this year. According to Ctrip data, orders for parent-child study tour products this summer have increased by 70% year-on-year, and prices are basically the same as last year. Fliggy data shows that since July, the popularity of searches related to study tours has increased by more than 60% month-on-month.
