At 11:14 am on August 13, a crane overturned on the east side of Shanghe Village, Luyuan, Shuguang Street, Haidian District, Beijing. Faced with the emergency, rescuers from Shuangyushu Rescue Station of Haidian District Fire Rescue Brigade quickly rushed to the scene to carry out rescue.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the crane suddenly lost balance during construction and overturned on the side of the road, with people trapped in the cockpit.
When the fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they found that the cockpit door was blocked by branches of nearby trees and could not be opened directly. The commander immediately organized personnel to use professional tools to quickly cut down the branches in order to approach the trapped person. After ensuring the safety of the scene, the rescuers used a ladder to enter the cockpit and successfully rescued the trapped driver.
After a preliminary assessment that there were no other potential dangers at the scene, the rescuers completed the rescue work at 11:43 and evacuated the scene after handing over to the local property management department. At present, the specific cause of the accident is under further investigation.
The Haidian District Fire Rescue Brigade reminds that during the construction process, safety operating procedures must be strictly observed to ensure that construction equipment is in good condition and take effective measures to prevent such incidents from occurring.
