From August 8th to 9th, the 2024 Hebei Provincial Workers' Vocational Skills Competition Final Blockchain Application Operator Competition was held at Baoding Technician College (Baoding Craftsman College). 52 contestants from 11 teams from Shijiazhuang, Chengde, Baoding and other prefecture-level cities participated in a comprehensive competition in blockchain development, operation and maintenance, and application operation technical skills.

A computer, a keyboard, and a mouse are the only things on the contestants' desks. On the field, there is only the sound of keyboards being operated. Although it is silent, the intensity of the competition is no less than that of any other type of work.
It is reported that this competition is the first blockchain application operator competition in our province. Prior to this, trade unions at all levels and related industry trade unions across the province actively organized and prepared for the competition, and conducted serious training for the contestants who had been selected through layers of selection.
It is understood that this blockchain application operator competition is conducted in accordance with the national vocational skill blockchain operator (4-04-05-06) standards, with blockchain smart contract development, blockchain testing, blockchain operation and maintenance, blockchain application operation, etc. as typical work tasks. Based on the actual enterprise projects, contestants are required to complete the specified blockchain application task content within the specified time.
Vocational skill levels are divided into five levels: junior worker, intermediate worker, senior worker, technician, and senior technician. According to relevant regulations, the competition topics for this competition are formulated according to the standards for senior workers (level three).
It is reported that the competition consists of two parts: theoretical module and practical module. The theoretical module mainly conducts comprehensive assessment on the basic concepts, composition and principles, characteristics and applications of blockchain. The practical module includes application operation and maintenance module, application testing module, application operation module, professional quality and safety requirements module, etc.
"Blockchain is a disruptive technology that is moving from the 'information Internet' era to the 'trust Internet' era, and is an important driving force for the development of the digital economy." Cui Yuzhu, chief judge of the competition and a member of the Hebei Information and Communication Industry Association, told reporters, "The content of this competition covers the mainstream technical directions of the blockchain industry, and aims to cultivate the comprehensive capabilities of contestants in the real project environment of enterprises, such as building a blockchain platform framework, analyzing blockchain product requirements and designing solutions, deploying blockchain systems, operating and monitoring blockchain systems, developing smart contracts, developing front-end and back-end blockchain application software, and testing and optimizing blockchain systems."
It is understood that the competition lasts for 8 hours in total, excluding the 1-hour theoretical knowledge competition and the 7-hour practical module. The competition is divided into two groups, with each player having 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon on the 8th, and 3 hours in the morning or afternoon on the 9th. "This is not only a competition of technical skills, but also a comprehensive competition of endurance and will." After each game, many players rubbed their faces to express their feelings.
As a cutting-edge technology field, blockchain is more complex and innovative than most people can imagine. Li Xianglong, the technical director of the competition and Beijing Zhigu Xingtu Company, told reporters that, for example, the application test module in this competition is one of the three test contents, which includes three tasks: test environment construction, test design and development, and application operation module. The application operation module task also includes two tasks: application business operation and application monitoring. In actual operation, there are many detailed tasks, so it is extremely complicated.
Cui Yuzhu told reporters that this competition is both the end and the starting point. After the competition, outstanding players will be selected based on their results to represent Hebei in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Blockchain Application Operator Competition to be held in November this year.
"It is a very valuable opportunity to participate in this competition, because the blockchain competition brings together many outstanding talents from different backgrounds. I have benefited a lot from communicating and interacting with them. Not only have I received a lot of inspiration and help in technology, but I have also gained new insights and improvements in my way of thinking. I believe that this experience will have a positive impact on my future study and work." Jiang Xuming, a contestant of the Baoding team and Taineng Longteng Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd., said when talking about his feelings and experiences in the competition.
After fierce competition, Zhao Jichang from Baoding City team won the first place, Zhang Gong from Baoding City team, Zhang Kang from Shijiazhuang City team, Zuo Tengteng from Shijiazhuang City team, Ren Tai from Baoding City team and Wang Xinlong from Baoding City team won the second to sixth place respectively; Baoding City team, Shijiazhuang City team, Hebei Unicom team, Tangshan City team, Xingtai City team and Hebei Mobile team won the top six team places.
