On July 31, Unit 4 of State Grid Xinyuan's Xinjiang Fukang Pumped Storage Power Station was officially put into operation after successfully passing 15 days of assessment and trial operation, marking the entry of the power station into the full production stage.
The power station is the first million-kilowatt pumped-storage power station in Northwest my country. It is equipped with four reversible pump-turbine generator sets with a single unit capacity of 300,000 kilowatts and a total installed capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts. It can generate 2.6 billion kilowatt-hours of new energy electricity annually, reduce standard coal consumption by 165,000 tons, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 496,000 tons. It undertakes tasks such as grid peak regulation, frequency regulation, energy storage, rotating standby, and black start, promotes the consumption of new energy, and will provide safe, reliable, flexible, efficient, green and clean power guarantee for the regional power grid.
