Red Net News Changde August 12th(Reporter Gu Yawei and Peng Yibo) Recently, the results of the 21st National Information Security and Countermeasures Technology Competition (ISCC) for College Students were announced. Li Wei, a 21-year student of Network Engineering from the School of Computer and Electrical Engineering of Hunan University of Arts and Sciences, won the second prize in the national competition (under the guidance of teacher Tan Wenxue). This is the first time that a student of the school has participated in the competition and achieved a breakthrough in awards.
The National Undergraduate Information Security and Countermeasure Technology Competition was established in 2004 and is a competition item in the list of national college student competitions. The competition aims to "fully implement the important spirit of the country's work on cyberspace security and informatization, enhance information security awareness, popularize information security knowledge, practice information security technology, create an information security environment, and discover information security talents". It has been held for 21 consecutive sessions. The competition is open to both college students and graduate students, with a total of more than 103,000 participants. In recent years, more than 1,200 colleges and universities have participated, which has a great impact.
This year's competition has four events: individual challenge, group competition, unlimited competition and data thinking competition. Students from Hunan University of Arts and Sciences participated in the individual challenge and unlimited competition, competing with more than 13,400 contestants from undergraduate and vocational colleges across the country. Under the guidance of the school's Academic Affairs Office, the competition team of the Panshi Network Security Studio of the School of Computer Science and Engineering overcame various difficulties, united as one, actively prepared for the competition, worked hard, and finally achieved a breakthrough, showing the network security style of Hunan University of Arts and Sciences students.
