AC Milan could soon receive a surprise transfer boost to their budget as a former midfielder is reportedly set to move to Napoli.
Selling young talent is always a risky game, but if done well, the selling club can have the last laugh, which could be the case for Milan this summer as Brescia’s Azzurri moves to Napoli.
According to Matteo Moretto's report on social media, Napoli are interested in the midfielder and plan to bring him to the club this summer as part of Antonio Conte's attempt to rebuild the squad.
While the deal is being billed as a loan deal with an obligation to buy, the journalist claims that "it's like a permanent transfer", meaning AC Milan will receive some money from the deal.
Moretto said the transfer fee would be around €11m and the loan fee €1m, meaning AC Milan would receive €5m-6m in transfer fees for the 50% secondary transfer fee attached to Brescianini's move to Frosinone. As Milan are still looking for new players, the extra funds would be very welcome, especially with reports suggesting sales are needed before further signings can be made.
