Recently, the 2024 ZTO "College Entrance Examination Honor Roll" was announced, and 205 children of ZTO employees across the network were on the list.
It is understood that 2024 is the third year that ZTO Express has set up the "College Entrance Examination Honor Roll", which will benefit hundreds of thousands of front-line employees, covering all outlets, ZTO couriers and front-line employees. In the past two years, a total of 238 children of ZTO employees have been on the College Entrance Examination Honor Roll, including 5 admitted to Peking University and Tsinghua University, and 233 admitted to "985" and "211" universities, of which 53% are children of outlet employees.
This year, the "College Entrance Examination Honor Roll" will be awarded to the children of all employees (who have been employed for one year or more) who will take the college entrance examination in 2024, be admitted, and be published on the Honor Roll, covering all outlets, ZTO couriers, and front-line employees. Those who are admitted to Tsinghua University or Peking University will be given a cash reward of 10,000 yuan; those who are admitted to "985" universities will be given a cash reward of 8,000 yuan; and those who are admitted to "211" universities will be given a cash reward of 5,000 yuan.
One employee's child was successfully admitted to Peking University in 2024. He is Li Qiushi, the son of Li Hanhua from Shanghai Dahua Branch. Ten children of ZTO employees were admitted to six key domestic universities ranked in the top 100 of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Fang Bo, the son of Fang Zhengxian from ZTO Asset Management Department, was admitted to the Business Information Management major of University College London, which is ranked ninth in the 2024 QS World University Rankings.
Among the 65 employees’ children who were admitted to “985” colleges and universities and the 139 employees’ children who were admitted to “211” colleges and universities, 67.64% were from front-line outlets.
Li Hanhua is the person in charge of the Shanghai Dahua branch. Since joining ZTO in 2011, he has been traveling between Wuhan and Shanghai. He runs a branch in Shanghai, while his wife accompanies his son Li Qiushi to study in Wuhan. Li Qiushi said that his father has always been a role model for his growth: since the first grade of elementary school, Li Qiushi has come to Shanghai every summer vacation to experience the life of a courier at the branch. The eight-year-old clearly recorded the steps of delivering express in his diary, and wrote, "Every time I deliver express, I am very tired. I feel very excited and exhausted. You have to work hard in any job."
Li Hanhua also took his son to climb the "Three Mountains and Five Peaks" together. Mountain climbing not only gave Li Qiushi the courage to overcome difficulties, but also cultivated his perseverance. "There is no mountain higher than man, and no road longer than feet. As long as you identify the goal and work hard and persevere, you will succeed."
In this year's college entrance examination, eight outstanding "Zhongtong second generation" were admitted to Harbin Institute of Technology.
