Sometimes they tap the keyboard, sometimes they move the mouse, and as the operator frequently operates, groups of data on the computer screen are constantly refreshed... On the morning of August 8, the final of the 2024 Hebei Provincial Workers' Vocational Skills Competition for Industrial Robot System Operators was held at Baoding Technician College (Baoding Craftsman College). 65 contestants from 11 prefecture-level cities including Shijiazhuang, Chengde, Baoding, and 13 teams from Dingzhou and Hebei Military Industry competed on the same stage.
Contestants in the competition
It is understood that this competition includes two parts: theoretical knowledge competition and practical operation competition, of which theoretical knowledge accounts for 30% and practical operation accounts for 70%. The theoretical knowledge competition will be held on the evening of August 7 for 1 hour. The competition content includes relevant basic knowledge and relevant technical knowledge such as circuits and electronic technology, motors and traction, automatic control and modern control.
The practical competition lasts for 3 hours. The specific tasks of the competition are: the company received a customized demand from a customer, requiring the design and installation of a set of automated equipment with robot application technology as the core, integrating supply, transmission, sorting, and machining production lines. The equipment provided by the competition meets the production needs of workpiece (cup, cover) supply, transmission, machining, assembly and warehousing. At present, part of the equipment has been installed by an engineer, and the contestants are required to continue to complete the remaining design and installation tasks, and program and debug to make the equipment run normally according to customer requirements.
The practical competition includes three specific contents. The first is system installation, setting and operation, which requires contestants to design and position, install and wire the modules on the platform according to the task requirements and the modules provided on site. The second is system programming and debugging, which requires contestants to complete the programming and debugging of HMI, PLC and robot systems according to customer needs. The third is professional quality and safe and civilized production, which mainly evaluates the contestants' professional norms, safety norms and other aspects.
Before the competition, the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions conducted a three-day training for the contestants. Relevant personnel of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions said that the purpose of the competition is not just for the sake of competition, but to promote learning and training through competition. By improving first and then competing, the comprehensive skills of employees can be improved, thus helping enterprises to achieve process improvement and efficiency improvement.
"This competition involves knowledge and skills in multiple fields, including light sources, visual inspection, human-machine interaction interface, programmable controllers, analog CNC machining, industrial robot programming, and various sensors. In actual work, an employee generally does not engage in so many things. The reason for this arrangement is to focus on the comprehensive competitiveness of the contestants, the development needs of the times, and the future of the company."
