Canalys: Southeast Asia smartphone shipments to reach 23.9 million units in Q2 2024

IT Home reported on August 12 that according to the latest report from Canalys, in the second quarter of 2024, smartphone shipments in Southeast Asia achieved a year-on-year growth of 14% to 23.9 million units.


IT Home attached the performance of each brand as follows:

  • Samsung's shipments reached 4.4 million units, a year-on-year increase of 5%, with a market share of 18%;

  • OPPO (excluding OnePlus) shipped 4.2 million units, up 24% year-on-year, with a market share of 17%;

  • Xiaomi shipped 4 million units, up 37% year-on-year, with a market share of 17%;

  • Vivo shipped 3.4 million units, up 37% year-on-year, with a market share of 14%;

  • Transsion's shipments reached 3.3 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12%, with a market share of 14%.


The rankings of Southeast Asian markets are as follows:

In the Indonesian market, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Samsung, and Transsion ranked in the top five;

In the Philippine market, Transsion, Samsung, vivo, Xiaomi, and realme ranked in the top five;

In the Thai market, OPPO, Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple, and vivo ranked in the top five;

In the Vietnamese market, OPPO, Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple, and vivo ranked in the top five;

In the Malaysian market, Xiaomi, Samsung, vivo, OPPO, and realme rank in the top five.
