On August 12, the Mazan oil and gas gathering and transportation platform, the heaviest international offshore oil and gas platform built in my country, was completed and delivered in Qingdao, Shandong. Its completion marks a breakthrough in my country's large-scale offshore oil and gas equipment construction technology.

At the Qingdao International High-end Equipment Manufacturing Base in Shandong Province, a "giant" weighing more than 17,000 tons, the world's largest oil and gas gathering and transportation platform currently under construction, was officially delivered today after 34 months of construction.

The Mazan oil and gas gathering and transportation platform is mainly responsible for collecting and transporting the extracted marine oil and gas to land for processing. It consists of complex systems such as large manifolds, pipeline cleaning, chemical treatment, and operation control. The platform deck area is equivalent to 15 basketball courts and the height is more than 24 floors. The Mazan platform will be installed in the waters of Saudi Arabia to increase production and development of the Mazan oilfield. After the Mazan oilfield is put into production as a whole, the annual crude oil production will reach 24 million tons. The output of this single offshore oilfield is equivalent to the annual crude oil production of Shengli Oilfield in my country.
