Grok is the large language model Grok 2 launched by Musk's xAI company. Last month, Musk confirmed on the X platform that Grok 2 will be released in a few weeks. In response to users' questions about training data, he said that the model has "huge improvements."

Musk and xAI have not yet released detailed information about the model.Musk has said Grok 2 will surpass current-generation AI models in "all metrics."

Grok 2 will be followed by Grok 3, which Musk said will be released around the end of the year. He said xAI has been training Grok 3 and that the model will be at a level "matching or exceeding" that of the yet-to-be-released OpenAI GPT-5, the latter is considered to be the next major breakthrough in the field of large language models.
