PLA NewsSun Chengcheng,reporterSun XingweiReport: A relevant department head of the Transportation and Delivery Bureau of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission recently introduced that more than 150 remote border and coastal defense points of the entire army have opened postal routes and integrated into the national logistics system, allowing officers and soldiers guarding the border to enjoy the efficiency and convenience brought by modern logistics.
In recent years, relevant departments of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission have actively coordinated with the State Post Bureau and China Post Group Co., Ltd. to incorporate some remote border and coastal defense locations with poor road conditions, weak social support, harsh natural conditions, and difficult postal services into the national logistics system to facilitate the work, training, and daily life of officers and soldiers. The military and local governments jointly launched the postal service guarantee work for border and coastal defense force sites, involving letters, newspapers, parcels, express delivery, and other service contents. In addition, the postal department has also tried to introduce drones, the Internet of Things, and smart express cabinets to improve the efficiency and quality of postal services; explore the opening of special mailboxes, provide delivery services during specific time periods, and try to establish mobile post offices, etc., to meet the specific postal needs of border and coastal defense officers and soldiers in a personalized manner.
It is understood that in the next step, the postal department will timely adjust business hours and increase delivery frequency according to the troops' postal needs, improve service quality, continuously meet the postal needs of officers and soldiers, and enhance the sense of gain and happiness of officers and soldiers on the front line of border and coastal defense.
