"The 2024 Yunxi Tianhe Love Marathon starts now!" At 7 a.m. on August 11, in the first rays of sunshine in the early morning, accompanied by the chief referee's order, 777 pairs of contestants set out together from the Yunxi County Cultural and Sports Center in Hubei Province, embarking on a romantic long-distance running journey about love and persistence.

The Tianhe Love Long-distance Race is an important carrier for Yunxi County to promote the creative transformation of the "Qixi Culture", which embodies the persistence and perseverance of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl in their loyal love. This race is themed "Qixi in Heaven, Yunxi on Earth", and through the "Event +" model, it aims to create a local brand event in Yunxi, enrich the cultural life of the masses, and promote the integrated development of sports, culture and tourism in Yunxi.

"In addition to Shiyan City, many participants from Guizhou, Wuhan, Yichang and other places have signed up to participate in this competition." Chief referee Zhang Songzhen introduced that the participants of this Tianhe Love Long-distance Run are open to the public and divided into couples and public groups. Each finisher will receive a Tianhe Love Long-distance Run exclusive customized medal. Among them, the couples must hold hands and pass the finishing time mat at the same time, which means supporting and encouraging each other. This unique competition system combined with the theme of Tianhe love has produced excellent cultural appeal.

The race is 10 kilometers long, which means "perfect". The track is mainly distributed on both sides of Tianhe River. Starting from the Cultural and Sports Center, it passes through Qixi Avenue, Rainbow Bridge, Tian'an Avenue, Qifu Bridge, Qianniu Avenue and other places, and finally returns to the Cultural and Sports Center. Along the track, not only is the natural scenery beautiful, but also rich Qixi cultural elements are integrated, so that participants can deeply feel the romantic atmosphere of "Tianhe Love" while enjoying the fun of sports. On both sides of Qixi Avenue, there are all kinds of love messages, each of which carries the participants' expectations and blessings for love; under the Rainbow Bridge, the sparkling water of Tianhe River reflects the momentum of each couple for love, making the whole game full of fantasy and warmth.

In the name of "love", we continue our previous "fate". The Liszt couple from Yichang once again won the first place in the couple group, achieving two consecutive championships in the Tianhe Love Run. "The romantic city of Yunxi not only has the memories of our love, but also allows us to record each other's happy moments in this special way, which is very rare." Liszt said happily while holding his wife Shen Wanyou's hand. Both of them are running enthusiasts. They will continue to pay attention to the Tianhe Love Run and plan to participate again next year. At the same time, the second and third places in the couple group were won by Li Da and Peng Juan, Li Ming and Quan Li, and the champions of the men's and women's mass groups were Chen Renkang and Pan Lili.

After two hours of running for "love", all 777 pairs of contestants crossed the finish line, and the 2024 Tianhe Love Run came to a successful conclusion. Over the years, Yunxi County has continuously focused on the integration of culture and tourism, sports and tourism, and improved the tourism environment by "setting the stage" for the Qixi culture. It has won the titles of "National Demonstration Zone for Ecological Civilization Construction", "China's Top 100 Counties with Tourism Development Potential", and "China's Most Charming Cultural Tourism County", which has enhanced Yunxi's reputation and influence.
