Previously, at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Chinese rhythmic gymnastics team won the silver medal in the team all-around, winning the first Olympic medal in the team's history.
In the final, the Chinese team performed "Dancing Together" in the first round of 5-lap events, which was themed on environmental protection and called for harmonious coexistence between man and nature. The team members scored 36.950 points with their smooth performance and high quality of movement completion, and ranked first at the end of the first round.
