Shanghai, August 10 (China News Service) (Reporter Zheng Yingying) The 4D animated film "Elephant Fairy Tale" jointly produced by the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and Shanghai Animation Film Studio was screened at the Shanghai Natural History Museum (Shanghai Science and Technology Museum branch) on the 10th and is expected to be officially released in September this year.
The film is set in the "animal and plant kingdom" of Xishuangbanna. It tells the story of a little boy and a baby elephant's adventure in the rainforest, focusing on the emotional core of empathy and symbiosis between man and nature.

Ni Minjing, director of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, said that science fairy tales can plant good seeds in children's hearts and guide them to understand the world. Science and technology museums need more science fairy tales like "The Elephant Fairy Tale".
The "Elephant's Fairy Tale" project was launched in 2022, and the film production took 20 months. The highlight of the film is the baby elephant Maomao, which is based on the rescued baby elephant Longlong in the Xishuangbanna Asian Elephant Rescue and Breeding Center. The project team restored it from multiple angles, such as its distinctive "front bangs" lanugo.
"Elephant Fairy Tale" is the second animation project jointly produced by Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and Shanghai Animation Film Studio. The first 4D science fiction animation "Firefly" produced by both parties tells the story of Chinese astronauts searching for life on Mars. (End)
