For ten years, numerous students have gathered at Lianshi; for ten years, countless dreams have set sail here. On August 8, Lianjiang Experimental School held its tenth anniversary celebration, with thousands of alumni, teachers and students attending the event to witness the glory. The celebration included activities such as the planting of the "Dream Chasing Forest" by alumni from Tsinghua and Peking University, celebration assemblies, school history exhibitions, and school anniversary parties, reviewing the school's ten-year development history and composing an entrepreneurial song that resonates with the school and Lianjiang's talent cultivation.
Planting litchi trees together to encourage students to pursue their dreams
At about 8 o'clock in the morning, dozens of Tsinghua and Peking University alumni participated in the "Green Lianjiang" tree planting activity in Tangshanling Scenic Area, Lianjiang City, and planted 101 Xianjinfeng lychee trees together with the leaders of Lianjiang City. Lychee is homophonic with "inspiration" and "determination", which encourages more Lianjiang students to be determined and work hard to achieve success. After that, Lianjiang students who are admitted to Tsinghua and Peking University will continue to add more lychee trees here every year.
The "Dream Chasing Forest" composed of hundreds of immortal trees stands tall in the wind, like a ten-year-old youth, vigor and vitality. Up to now, the school has developed into a famous modern education school with a twelve-year system that integrates elementary school, junior high school and high school. The school has won more than 100 honors at all levels and types. It has been rated as a first-level school in Guangdong Province and has become the first batch of liberal arts talent co-education bases of Peking University. It has been awarded the titles of "High-quality Student Source Middle School" and "High-quality Student Source Base" by well-known universities such as Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University, Tongji University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, South China University of Technology, South China Normal University, Jinan University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and South China Agricultural University.
"I have been paying attention to the development of Lianjiang since graduation, and my alma mater Lianshi has also achieved fruitful results. Today is the tenth anniversary of my alma mater, and I planted a lychee tree here. I hope that my alma mater Lianshi will become better and better, and I will communicate more with my junior fellow students in the future." Zhou Xiaochang, an outstanding alumnus of Lianshi, graduated from Peking University and now works in Shenzhen.
Gathering to celebrate and send blessings
Entering the Lianshi campus, teachers and students flocked to the display boards of "Picking up" memories, "Picking up" calligraphy and paintings, and stopped to watch and take photos. Lianshi displayed the style of Lianshi's school through photos, calligraphy and paintings, and will accumulate harvests, blessings, and strength to move forward.
Ten years ago, Lianjiang Experimental School broke ground and was completed and opened in just 7 months. Adhering to the spirit of "pursuing excellence and daring to be the first", it sowed the seeds of hope, fulfilled the promise of "teaching students for one day and thinking about students for a lifetime", and wrote a vivid portrayal of Lianshi's "writing the history without complaints on the three-foot podium, and making achievements all over China with his students".
At the celebration meeting, Wu Guoxiong, deputy mayor of Zhanjiang, congratulated Lianjiang Experimental School on its 10th anniversary. Lianjiang Experimental School, as a microcosm of the rapid development of Lianjiang's education, has gradually grown into a bright educational business card. He hoped that Lianjiang City would continue to attach importance to supporting private education, deepen the integration of county education resources, and promote the balanced development of urban and rural compulsory education resources. He hoped that Lianjiang Experimental School would carry forward the past and create greater glories, and that the teachers would study hard and teach well, cultivate talents, and let the students live up to their youth and pursue their dreams.
"Education is one of the longest-cycle undertakings, and this can be seen in the ten-year journey of Lianshi." Qi Yue, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong China Hongrui Capital Management (Group) Co., Ltd. and Director of Lianshi, said that over the past ten years, the school has insisted on cultivating morality and educating people as its foundation, deeply cultivating basic education, taking one step at a time, continuously improving the quality of education, and reaping fruitful results.
According to statistics, in the past ten years, 95 Lianshi students have been admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University, more than 9,000 have been admitted to first-class colleges and universities, and more than 18,600 have been admitted to undergraduate colleges and universities. They have won more than 100 honors at all levels. Lianshi’s outstanding achievements in running schools have won wide acclaim from the society and have continuously provided excellent talents for the society.
"Once you are in Lianshi, you will be in Lianjiang forever." Lianjiang Municipal Party Committee Secretary Chen Encai said that Lianjiang is promoting the "Hundreds of Millions of Projects" with top priority, and the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries is developing in a good momentum, with broad prospects and unlimited opportunities. Alumni representative Li Zhan, who now works as a computer programmer at Tencent headquarters in Beijing, expressed his gratitude to his alma mater at the celebration, shared his experience in Lianshi and after graduating from Lianshi, and encouraged fellow students to work hard, strive for progress, forge ahead, and work hard in their professional fields. At the same time, he said that he was very happy to contribute the strength of Lianshi people to the digital technology of his hometown Lianjiang.
