China News Service, Jiaxing, August 10 (Huang Yanjun and Li Jieru) In recent days, Zhang Haonan, general manager of Zhejiang Haining Ye's Knitting Co., Ltd., is still very excited when recalling the scene of the Chinese shooting combination Huang Yuting/Sheng Lihao winning the "first gold" of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
For him, this is not only a proud moment as a Chinese, but also a "highlight moment" for his own products - the uniforms worn by the Chinese shooting team are produced by this company.
"2024 is the first time that the company has independently completed the production of Olympic athlete uniforms. From yarn selection to tissue pattern design, to the final garment sewing, all are completed independently." Zhang Haonan shared that although they have undertaken the fabric supply for international events such as the Tokyo Olympics and the Hangzhou Asian Games, they have never produced ready-made garments.
It is reported that the company specializes in producing all kinds of mid-to-high-end seamless knitted sportswear. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, they provided the Chinese shooting team with four styles of men's and women's uniforms, totaling more than 600 tops.

Zhang Haonan introduced that during the development of the team uniforms, the company specially set up a team of 20 people, including the chief technical officer and masters of various processes such as weaving, plate making, sewing, and cutting. They worked day and night for four months, striving for perfection in every detail.
To ensure that the uniforms are quick-drying, antibacterial and wear-resistant, the R&D team carefully selected nylon and polyester as yarn fabrics. Unlike ordinary sportswear, professional sportswear also has special treatment in functional zoning. "For the arms, which are prone to sweating, we use a mesh structure with better breathability, and a threaded tightening structure with better support on the chest," said Zhang Haonan.
This is a microcosm of Zhejiang's textile industry "rushing to the Paris Olympics". In the province, 3,000 sets of lazy sofas produced in Tongxiang were installed in the Paris Olympic Village, and many companies in Keqiao supplied clothing fabrics to the Chinese and Canadian sports delegations... From "manufacturing" to "smart manufacturing", traditional industries have created new legends outside the stadium.
At the swimming pool of the Paris Olympics, another "battle suit" made by Henin also attracted countless eyes.
The blue suits worn by Chinese swimmers are made of fabrics from Haining Dewei Technology Co., Ltd. "In order to achieve the functions of rapid moisture absorption and temperature lock, the R&D team spent nearly three months to perfectly combine two different functional fabrics through advanced composite technology," said Xuan Dianwei, assistant manager of the company's R&D department.
"This fabric can absorb moisture and transfer it to the outer layer, ensuring the inner layer is dry. It replaces the towels that athletes used to wear after getting out of the water." Xuan Dianwei said proudly that this performance suit cleverly combines fashion and moisture-absorbing functions, demonstrating the power of Chinese science and technology on the international stage of the Olympics.

It is worth mentioning that the company's design concept actively responded to the environmental protection theme of the Paris Olympics. Xuan Dianwei shared that the Olympic uniforms produced by the company are made of environmentally friendly fabrics, which are made from recycled plastic products such as Coke bottles.
"In the international market, environmental protection is a very important production concept, which requires the traditional textile industry to promote product iteration and upgrading around environmental protection." Xuan Dianwei said with emotion that for domestic manufacturing and processing enterprises, innovation is the only way to seek development. (End)
