Hunan Daily, August 10 (All-media reporter Wang Mingjun, trainee reporter Luo Aimin, photographer Xu Xing, Zou Shangqi) This afternoon, the "2024 Audio and Video Content Security Technology Seminar Annual Conference and New Hunan's 'Smart Eyes' Content Security Intelligent Risk Control Platform Launch Ceremony" hosted by Hunan Daily was held in the New Hunan Building. Yu Jinwang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, deputy president, editor-in-chief, and general manager of Hunan Daily, and Yang Jian, vice president of Tencent Group and general consultant of Tencent Research Institute, jointly unveiled the audio and video intelligent media laboratory jointly built by the two parties.
The laboratory aims to explore new models of intelligent news industry, promote the digital and intelligent transformation of the media industry, enrich the information ecology, and better serve the news industry. In addition to the audio and video intelligent media laboratory, the two parties will also focus on establishing a long-term strategic cooperative relationship around the integration of high-quality resources, content product optimization, collaborative construction of digital bases, and enterprise digital operations. With applications as the guide, innovation as the driving force, and digital and real integration as the goal, relying on the high-quality resources of Hunan Daily Newspaper Group in the content field and combining Tencent's technical research and development strength, the two sides will create a new industry ecology in the future.
Previously, based on Tencent's Hunyuan Big Model, Hunan Daily created the New Hunan Intelligent Creation AI Toolbox, which deeply integrated AI capabilities in the entire process of "planning, collecting, editing, reviewing, publishing and management", and greatly improved the content production efficiency of editors and reporters in terms of article title generation, article content expansion and revision, automatic generation of article summaries, and intelligent review. Since the launch of the New Hunan client in 2015, it has iterated and upgraded more than 100 versions. At present, the New Hunan client runs 202 channels online, with an annual publication volume of more than one million articles and a cumulative download volume of more than 85 million. In 2023, New Hunan was rated as one of the national outstanding cases of "Chinese Media Intelligence" by People's Daily. In June 2024, the New Hunan client completed the development of the Hongmeng version, and it is the first news client in Hunan Province to officially go online and connect to the Hongmeng ecosystem.
Tencent Cloud will be deeply involved in the construction of the Audio and Video Smart Media Lab. As a digital assistant for all walks of life, Tencent Cloud has built a "new foundation" for the media industry with its technological innovation capabilities, and focused on areas such as media convergence and large-scale model capabilities in the media industry, providing media organizations with vertical solutions such as content platform construction and content production, as well as digital transformation solutions, to help media organizations upgrade comprehensively. Tencent Cloud has created an "AIGC (Generative Artificial Intelligence) Intelligent Agent Application Platform" for the media industry, which can comprehensively call on various large-scale model AI capabilities, build an intelligent agent exclusive to the media industry, and help media practitioners efficiently complete various tasks.
