On August 10, the five-episode documentary "He Xiangning", a major historical documentary, held its opening ceremony at Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering. The film is expected to be completed by the end of this year and released next year.
2024 is the 146th anniversary of He Xiangning's birth and the 97th anniversary of the founding of Zhongkai Agricultural and Engineering College. According to Song Yaozhen, secretary of the school's party committee, in 1925, He Xiangning and others proposed to establish Zhongkai Agricultural and Industrial School in memory of the great patriot Mr. Liao Zhongkai's willingness to care for farmers and workers. In March 1927, the school officially enrolled students, initially setting up silk and agricultural departments, and He Xiangning served as the principal. He Xiangning is not only an outstanding artist, but also an outstanding political activist and social reformer. As an outstanding representative of the left wing of the Kuomintang, she actively participated in the Revolution of 1911 and contributed her own strength to overthrowing the feudal monarchy and establishing a democratic republic. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, she even took action to raise funds through her art works to help wounded soldiers and refugees, showing the bravery and responsibility of women who are no less than men.

It is reported that the documentary "He Xiangning" has a strong production team. Chief Director Zhang Yongxin has directed the major revolutionary historical drama "Awakening Age", and won the Outstanding Director Award at the 33rd China TV Drama Feitian Awards for this film; Director and screenwriter Li Yiran has won the Best Documentary Award at the 24th China TV Art "Starlight Award". In addition, there are many senior behind-the-scenes creators who have contributed to the film.
The documentary is divided into five episodes, namely "People and Moon·Shuangqing", "Blood Tomb·Rivers and Mountains", "Heroines·Fighting Clothes", "Desperate Situation·Rebirth" and "Proud of Painting". It presents He Xiangning's early revolutionary career, her experience of working for the reunification of the motherland in her middle age, and her proud of painting as a painter, showing her revolutionary, struggling and great life.
