He scored 608 points in the college entrance examination this year and was successfully admitted to Anhui University's Chinese Language and Literature major.
Niu Jiahe was born with cerebral palsy due to lack of oxygen in the womb that damaged his motor nerves. As far as he can remember, Niu Jiahe was either in his father's arms or in his mother's arms.
"I went from city to city, from hospital to hospital. Many doctors said my condition was very serious and I had little chance of learning to walk in this lifetime." Before Niu Jiahe was 10 years old, his parents took him to seek medical treatment. After the doctors' treatment and his parents' careful care, Niu Jiahe was finally able to walk with difficulty.
When he was 10 years old, Niu Jiahe returned to Suzhou. Although he had difficulty walking, he insisted on walking to and from school every day accompanied by his parents. The distance from home to school was less than 500 meters, but they had to walk for half an hour each time.
"The changes in the environment and the pressure of study once made negative energy spread in my heart. What could a person like me do if I continued studying? At that time, I was sensitive, suspicious, decadent, and even a little depressed." Niu Jiahe said that the school teachers talked to him many times, asked him to help manage the class, participate in more activities, and obtained a national scholarship, which made his once cold and fragile heart become warm and solid.
Although the road to school was difficult, with the care of his parents, teachers and classmates, Niu Jiahe's grades have always been among the best from elementary school to high school. He also actively assisted teachers in class management and participated in more activities. Niu Jiahe has been selected as a "three-good student" many times and was named "the third Suzhou City New Era Good Youth" in 2020.
