A reporter from Beijing Daily Client learned from the Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission that the main part of the road renovation project of the Tianjin section of the Beijing Ring Highway (abbreviated as "Beijing Ring Highway", numbered G112), Tianjin's largest annual highway maintenance project, was successfully completed recently. The condition of 79.926 kilometers of highway pavement and 17 highway bridge facilities has been effectively improved, further facilitating highway traffic connections between Tianjin and Hebei, and helping to put regional economic and social development on the "fast track".
As an important transportation artery connecting Tianjin and Hebei, the G112 Beijing Ring Line pavement renovation mainly carries out functional repairs of the pavement, preventive maintenance and bridge disease repairs on seven sections, including the Tangshan border of Hebei Province-Baolu Line, Lutai Farm border-Laoandian Bridge, Laoandian Bridge-Qingpaiqu Bridge, Qingpaiqu Bridge-Jiuyuan Line, Jiuyuan Line-Kehuang Line, Jingbin Line-Ping'anzhuang Village Road, Ping'anzhuang Village Road-Jinglan Line, as well as 17 bridges, including Lutai Bridge, Qingpaiqu Bridge, Luan Open Channel Bridge, Beiyunhe Bridge, and Yongding River Bridge.
It is reported that this year Tianjin plans to implement a total of 38 national and provincial trunk road maintenance projects. As of the end of July, 25 projects have entered the construction site and 8 have been completed, which will provide solid support for the transportation development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
