The General Administration of Customs released the latest data on August 7, and the export performance of home appliances is eye-catching: in the first seven months of this year, the cumulative exports of home appliances including electric fans, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, and LCD TVs amounted to 409.19 billion yuan, an increase of 18.1% year-on-year, 11.4 percentage points higher than the overall national export growth rate.
In fact, from March 2023 to July 2024, my country's home appliance exports have achieved year-on-year growth for 17 consecutive months.
Lu Daliang, director of the Statistics and Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, said that my country's foreign trade operators have actively adapted to market demand, continuously deepened product innovation and iteration, and optimized and upgraded their products. Coupled with improved overseas demand, the release of policy dividends, and improved customs clearance efficiency, the export of consumer electronics products represented by home appliances and mobile phones has shown a continuous growth trend.
