There were 5 jumps in the final that day, Chen Yiwen always ranked first, Gini ranked second. Chang Yani ranked last after making a mistake in the first jump, but she adjusted her state in time and rose to third after the fourth jump. The three old friends finally stepped onto the podium together.
"This moment is especially precious to the three of us," said Chen Yiwen, who met Gini at the 2017 World Championships. "It's rare to have a friend internationally and compete with you for so many years."

Chang Yani and Gini have known each other for a long time. "It's a kind of fate. We have similar personalities and can play together. (On the field) we also have healthy competition. The three of us have jumped out of our own high level and can also show the charm of competitive sports."
The difficulty coefficient of Gini's last jump in the final was 3.4, which was more difficult than Chen Yiwen and Chang Yani's. The two Chinese players said that they could also complete the same move, but they were not satisfied enough to take it to the competition. In the Diving World Cup Finals held in Xi'an in April this year, Chen Yiwen won the gold medal in the women's three-meter springboard, and Gini won the bronze medal, while Chang Yani missed the competition due to injury. At the award ceremony, Gini wore a T-shirt with photos of Chen Yiwen and Chang Yani, which was given to her by Chen Yiwen before the game. The sisters agreed to meet again at the Paris Olympics.
