On August 9, the Shandong demonstration event of the 2024 National "Our Festival·Qixi Festival" themed cultural event opened at the Cowherd and Weaver Girl Scenic Spot in Yiyuan County, Shandong Province. The event aims to inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture, enhance national identity and cultural confidence, and vigorously advocate the values of diligence and wisdom, loyal love, happy family, and the pursuit of beauty.
The event was of high standard, long duration and large number of people on site, which put higher demands on network security. Shandong Mobile Zibo Branch actively responded to the call of the local government, played the role of the main force of communications, and made every effort to ensure communication security during the event.
According to Liu Qi, general manager of Yiyuan Branch, after receiving the task, they established a communication support team and formulated a special network support plan. According to the expected flow of people, the staff overcame the hot and humid weather, expanded the capacity of 16 base station cells on site, added 15 sets of base station equipment, laid 2.5 kilometers of optical cables, and 300 meters of power lines. One communication support vehicle and one oil locomotive were provided on site, and more than 50 support personnel and nearly 40 vehicles were dispatched.
On the day of the event, Yiyuan Branch arranged special personnel to be on duty on site, and the network was adjusted dynamically in real time to ensure full signal coverage in the scenic area. China Mobile's high-speed, low-latency 5G network helped tourists celebrate the Chinese Valentine's Day.
