Xinhua News Agency, Kinshasa, August 9 (Reporter Shi Yu) Congolese Prime Minister Touluka said in the capital Kinshasa on the 8th that the Kinshasa Central African Culture and Art Center built with assistance from the Chinese government is another example of Congo-China cooperation.

On the same day, Touluka led a number of ministers to inspect the construction site of the Central African Culture and Art Center project, accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo Zhao Bin.

Tuluka listened to the work report of the Chinese project leader and expressed satisfaction with the construction progress and quality. She said that she believed that this project would play an important role in cultural exchanges between Africa and China after its completion.

Zhao Bin said that after the completion of the project, Kinshasa will add another bright name card. China is willing to continue to work with the Congo to build a high-quality Sino-Congolese art and culture display platform, promote exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and African civilizations, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and African peoples.

The main part of the Central African Culture and Art Center is composed of the Cultural Center and the National Academy of Arts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including a 2,000-seat theater, a 800-seat small theater and a National Academy of Arts campus that can accommodate 2,000 students. In 2019, President Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo laid the foundation stone for the project. The project is scheduled to hold an inauguration ceremony at the end of this month.
