In accordance with the principle of "government-led, public security guidance, industry assistance, and mass participation", the Xishuangbanna Public Security Bureau has formed a "red-armband" party member volunteer police team with public security as the main force and scenic area management committees, property security, hotel owners, store operators, and public security activists as the auxiliary. The team participates in daily inspections and rectifications, patrol prevention and control, conflict mediation, and safety precautions reminders in batches.

These people, wearing red armbands of "Dai Village Security Volunteers", take advantage of their familiarity with local conditions to jointly maintain public security and order in scenic spots and tourist attractions, maximize the rate of police presence, service, and management, achieve joint defense and early warning, coordinated police dispatch, and rapid disposal, and form a group prevention and control work model with different focuses, mutual linkage, and overall prevention and control.

At present, there are a total of 19 joint defense points in scenic spots across the prefecture, and each point implements the "1+2+2+N" (1 police officer, 2 auxiliary police officers, 2 scenic spot security guards, and N public security activists) model to carry out joint defense work.
