"If the head of Emei, Nun Miejue, came out of a book, she would have to pay for the ride first!"

In recent days, a complaint message that "the most annoying thing about Mount Emei is not the monkeys, but the expensive sightseeing bus fare" has attracted attention. The message said that Mount Emei implemented traffic control from the scenic area gate to Leidongping, charging 160 yuan per person for tickets and 90 yuan per person for round-trip sightseeing bus fare for the entire mountain.

The complainants questioned the high ticket prices for sightseeing buses at Mount Emei Scenic Area, and believed that it was unreasonable for the tickets not to include any scenic area services. They suggested that Mount Emei implement the "Notice on Strengthening Price Management of Scenic Areas".

On August 7-8, reporters learned from multiple ticket outlets, stations and the Tourism and Culture Bureau of Mount Emei that during peak passenger flow periods such as holidays, there is no traffic control on the road sections below zero kilometers in the scenic area. There are multiple stations at the foot of Mount Emei, zero kilometers in the middle mountain area and Leidongping in the high mountain area, and different fares are set according to distance. Among them, the round-trip ticket from the tourist passenger transport center or visitor center at the foot of the mountain to Leidongping is 90 yuan per person. The round-trip journey is more than 100 kilometers, with two lanes in both directions, narrow roads, many bends, steep slopes, and an altitude change of nearly 2,000 meters.
