Hubei Daily News (Reporter Qi Quan, Correspondent Ming Yuexin, Ni Tingting) On August 9, Xiandao Lake Tourist Scenic Area in Yangxin County, Hubei Province held a world record certification press conference. The British Flag World Records official certification agency issued the record certificate for "the scenic area with the highest negative oxygen ion content in the world's water conservancy scenic area" on the spot.

Xiandao Lake is located at the northern foot of Mufu Mountain, in the center of the golden tourism line of Lushan Mountain and Jiugong Mountain. It is rich in natural resources, excellent vegetation, and a forest coverage rate of 93%. The lake water is crystal clear, with a transparency of more than 7 meters all year round, and some waters can reach 10 meters. It is a national first-class water quality.

In May this year, Wangying Town commissioned Wuhan Sunjiang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site testing of the negative oxygen ion content in the air. The test data showed that the negative oxygen ion content in the woods next to the Xiandao Lake Visitor Center was as high as 91,789 per cubic centimeter, while the small islands in Xiandao Lake reached 92,654 and 94,220 per cubic centimeter respectively. Zhou Xiao, director of the Tourism Research Center of Wuhan University of Technology, deputy secretary-general and executive director of the Hubei Tourism Society, introduced that "high negative oxygen ion content can improve the respiratory system, regulate the nervous system, enhance cardiovascular function, and improve immunity. It is of great significance to create unique selling points and enhance the attractiveness of scenic spots."

In recent years, the Xiandao Lake Scenic Area Management Office and the Wangying Town Party Committee and Government have insisted on green development, taken strong measures to strengthen ecological environmental protection, and made every effort to protect the clear water in the reservoir.

The scenic area's cruise ship upgrade project is progressing steadily, with an investment of more than 200 million yuan to purchase 60 energy-saving and environmentally friendly electric cruise ships. On April 12 this year, the first electric cruise ship "Chengfa Hope" was successfully launched at Zhangyuan Wharf in Xiandao Lake. When energy-saving and environmentally friendly electric cruise ships are put into use, the same number of diesel boats will be retired to minimize the pollution of reservoir water quality.
