The women's bowl skateboarding competition at the Paris Olympics came to an end on the 6th at the Place de la Concorde. Australia's Tru won the gold medal. China's 11-year-old Zheng Haohao made her Olympic debut and finished 18th in the preliminaries.
As the youngest athlete of the Chinese sports delegation participating in the Paris Olympics, skater Zheng Haohao completed her Olympic debut. With only five days left before her 12th birthday, she is also the youngest athlete in all delegations of this Olympics.
Zheng Haohao was the third to enter the pool in the second group of preliminaries. He performed steadily in his first slide and scored 63.19 points.Zheng Haohao, who got a guaranteed score, increased the difficulty of his movements in the second and third rounds, but unfortunately made mistakes in both rounds. He eventually ranked 18th in the preliminaries and missed the finals.
Although her Olympic journey ended early, Zheng Haohao, who had just graduated from elementary school, still said she had "a lot of fun" at the competition venue.
"I am very happy and proud to represent the country in the competition," Zheng Haohao said after the game. She skated out a score of 72.6 in the Olympic qualifying series held in Budapest at the end of June, qualifying for the Olympics at the last minute.
Talking about her Olympic debut, Zheng Haohao said she felt "no pressure". "The Olympics is not much different from my usual practice and competition, except that there are more people (spectators) here," Zheng Haohao said.

The Olympic bowl pool competition, which brought together 22 of the world's top skaters, did not give Zheng much time to "play". Facing a group of more experienced skaters, it was not realistic for her to advance to the finals, which had only eight seats. Outside of the competition, Zheng Haohao's only chance to show herself was during the practice time of each preliminary group.
During the intense pre-match trial skating stage, Zheng Haohao showed the audience her "relaxation". While the other five players in the group were practicing, Zheng Haohao was attracted by the Olympic promotional video playing on the big screen behind her, and it took her a while to come back to her senses.
Because each athlete uses a different route and speed in the bowl pool, and there is no fixed order for entering the pool, athletes usually have to scramble for a spot during warm-up.

"I got some, but not much," Zheng Haohao said with a smile. Just like the Olympic Qualifying Series held in Budapest at the end of June this year, Zheng Haohao, the youngest and most inexperienced, was not able to compete with the "big kids" for the venue. But in Paris, she was not afraid of the stage at all. The skaters in the same competition would also tacitly make way for Zheng Haohao at the same time in a few minutes to warm up in the pool.
The 18th ranking in the preliminaries brought Zheng Haohao's Paris Olympic journey to an end. When talking about her classmates, Zheng Haohao's face was filled with joy.
"There is a WeChat group in our class where my classmates cheered me on. After reading their messages, I felt very happy and not nervous at all. My best friend even changed her WeChat status to 'Congratulations to my best friend for winning the Olympic gold medal.'"
Finally, the reporter asked her how she would tell her family and friends about this experience, and the girl said something extraordinary: "Don't be too proud, let me think about it... just say that I took some time to participate in the Olympics." (reporter Cao Yibo
