On August 7, the reporter learned from the Wushan County Development and Reform Commission that it was promoting distributed photovoltaic power generation "into villages and households". As of now, the total installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic power generation in the county has reached 23,200 kilowatts, benefiting 690 rural households.
"Don't underestimate these seemingly small photovoltaic panels. They can not only meet people's electricity needs, but also increase income for our villagers." Shi Faping is not only a villager of Lianshan Village, Jinping Township, Wushan County, but also a photovoltaic facility manager. On weekdays, he is mainly responsible for wiping the photovoltaic panels and removing the surrounding shading branches to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the photovoltaic power generation system, so as to achieve high-quality and stable power generation efficiency.
The reporter learned that the distributed photovoltaic power generation project in Lianshan Village, Jinping Township was assisted by China Three Gorges Corporation, with a total investment of 2.3 million yuan and a construction capacity of 418 kilowatts. The one-time construction can be used sustainably for about 25 years. It is estimated to increase the collective income of the village by about 160,000 yuan each year. The project will not only make effective use of the large and small barren hills and grassy slopes in the village, but the income will also be used for investment in improving the infrastructure of Lianshan Village, improving the living environment, helping the needy, and promoting rural revitalization.
Relying on the advantages of rich solar and thermal resources, Wushan has developed distributed photovoltaic power generation projects according to local conditions and actively explored the "photovoltaic +" integrated development path. According to the relevant person in charge of the Wushan County Development and Reform Commission, photovoltaics, as a clean energy, can play an important role in promoting rural energy conservation and consumption reduction, improving the quality of life of farmers, and improving the rural living environment. The implementation of photovoltaic projects is not only conducive to promoting the development of rural ecological industries, but also opens up a channel for farmers to increase their income. Up to now, the total installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics in the county has reached 23,200 kilowatts, directly benefiting 690 rural households.
Since the beginning of this year, investment in solar power generation and onshore wind power has continued to grow at a high level, especially distributed photovoltaic investment in the first half of the year, which increased by 76.2% year-on-year. According to the construction of photovoltaic power generation in the first half of 2024 announced by the National Energy Administration: In the first half of this year, Chongqing added 476,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation grid-connected capacity, including 165,000 kilowatts of centralized photovoltaic power stations and 312,000 kilowatts of distributed photovoltaic capacity; by the end of June 2024, the city's cumulative photovoltaic power generation grid-connected capacity was 2.045 million kilowatts, including 978,000 kilowatts of centralized photovoltaic power stations and 1.066 million kilowatts of distributed photovoltaics.
