At a press conference held recently, Qu Guochun, director of the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and secretary-general of the World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference Organizing Committee, introduced the basic situation of the conference and the current preparation progress.
According to reports, this World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference, with the theme of "Synergy and Intelligent Mobility for the Future - Sharing New Opportunities for the Development of Intelligent Connected Vehicles", will build a "3+3+6+N" activity system. The first "3" refers to the opening ceremony, the plenary session, and the closing ceremony, the second "3" refers to the three special events, "6" refers to the six theme summits, and "N" refers to multiple concurrent side events and interactive activities.
"The 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference aims to connect global government, enterprises and industry resources, gather resources and wisdom from all parties, enhance cognition and form consensus, promote the deep integration of intelligent connected vehicles and related industries, and achieve cross-regional and cross-industry coordinated development." Qu Guochun said that this conference aims to achieve three core goals: first, to lead the direction of global industrial development, second, to promote cross-regional and cross-field cooperation, and third, to build a highland for innovative technology exchanges. To this end, this conference will highlight "three highlights": the first release of the top ten breakthroughs and trends in intelligent connected vehicles, the first collection of a series of special activities throughout the year, and the full display of multi-scenario intelligent driving functions.
Statistics show that in the first half of this year, domestic automobile sales totaled 14.047 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%, playing an important role in supporting the steady growth of the industrial economy; among them, sales of new energy vehicles increased by 30.1% year-on-year, accounting for 35.2% of total new car sales, an increase of 6.9 percentage points over the same period last year.
In addition, 20 cities have launched the "vehicle-road-cloud integration" pilot, 9 companies have carried out pilot projects for production access and road access for intelligent networked vehicles, and the sales of vehicles with combined assisted driving functions account for more than 50%, and the development of intelligent networked vehicles has started a new journey. Some analysts believe that the new energy and intelligent development of the automotive industry plays an important role in stabilizing domestic demand, developing new quality productivity, cultivating new momentum for foreign trade, and promoting green and low-carbon development.
It is reported that the 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Congress is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and co-organized by the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd., China Society of Automotive Engineers, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and China Electronics Information Industry Development Research Institute.
It is worth mentioning that this conference will set up a multi-brand and multi-level intelligent connected car display and provide convenient reservation services, allowing guests to personally experience cutting-edge technologies such as high-level assisted driving functions on urban roads, V2X green wave speed guidance, and automatic parking. It will also specially host an autonomous driving carnival and industrial tourism visits to fully showcase the achievements of my country's intelligent connected vehicle industry.
