The reporter learned from the Municipal Transportation Commission that in order to enhance the travel experience of tourists visiting the three major cultural buildings in the sub-center, this summer, the transportation department will further strengthen the bus and subway capacity around the three major cultural buildings and optimize the parking lot navigation service.
In terms of ground public transportation, the bus network continues to be optimized and replenished for different tourists, forming a three-in-one bus service combination of "conventional line + tourist line + shuttle line".
For tourists in the sub-center area, Route 317 has been adjusted to add Xiaoshengmiao Bridge East, Shangmatou Road North Station, and Shangmatou Road bus stops to cover the three major cultural buildings. The surrounding bus routes have added spare vehicles, and timely operational scheduling measures such as increasing frequency and sending interval buses have been adopted to ensure sufficient bus capacity during peak tourist periods; for long-distance tourists, three holiday special lines have been opened to achieve rapid connection between the three major cultural buildings and Metro Line 1-Bantong, Line 6, Line 7 and suburban railways, and guide public transportation; for self-driving tourists, a parking lot shuttle line has been opened to serve tourists from the P12 parking lot to the three major cultural buildings, serving an average of nearly 5,000 self-driving tourists per day, an increase of 100% over before the summer vacation.
In terms of rail transit, the minimum interval between trains on Metro Line 6 on weekends has been reduced from 5 minutes to 4 minutes, increasing the transport capacity by 25%. "Warm reminders" have been posted at the concourses and platforms of Tongzhou Beiyuan Station and Tuqiao Station on the adjacent Line 1-Bantong Line to provide passengers with detailed information on bus transfers.
In terms of parking services, the Municipal Transportation Commission organized the Tongzhou District Urban Management Committee, parking lot operation and management units, AutoNavi Maps, Baidu Maps and other service providers to step up efforts to optimize the navigation services of the parking lots of the three major buildings in Tongzhou. Users can use AutoNavi and Baidu Maps to query the location, number of parking lots, charging prices, number of vacant parking lots and other dynamic and static information of the parking lots of the three major buildings and surrounding parking lots in real time, select the parking destination in advance, and achieve accurate navigation.
At the same time, offline guidance was strengthened, and 5 parking lot entrance guidance signs were installed on Shangmatou Road to guide vehicles to enter nearby; directional information guidance for venues, elevators, and exits inside the parking lots of the three major buildings was completed; and ETC charging equipment was officially put into use, allowing users to pay without feeling and exit without stopping.
