Since August 3, many students from the primary school of Zhengzhou Zhongyuan Pilot Experimental School have received a special reply letter. They treasured it and held the reply letter and the photo of the reply writer, saying ecstatically: "I finally got the reply letter. Next time I will write letters to more celebrities to communicate."

This reply letter came from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres. In the letter, Guterres affirmed that the students of Zhongyuan Pilot Experimental School viewed international issues from an international perspective, and expressed his expectations for the students' courage to explore and actively develop.

The "Letter to International Celebrities" activity was jointly initiated by the philatelic club and English teaching and research group of the primary school of Zhongyuan Pilot Experimental School in April this year. Many students of the school wrote letters in English to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the King of England, the President of France and others, expressing their views and opinions on world peace, international war, environmental protection, food conservation, etc. On May 1, the letters were sent out by Zhongyuan Pilot Youth Post Office.

Principal Lin Qiongli was pleased to see the reply and the children's cherishment of the letters and said: "Letters are a way of communicating with the world and a channel to open children's international horizons. We must actively explore more ways to create a broader platform for children to display their personal talents!" This activity not only exercised the students' English writing ability, but also enhanced their sense of social responsibility, opened their international horizons, and conveyed China's voice and the "China Solution" of leading young people.
