It is reported that there are 3,756 elderly people over 60 years old in the 17 natural villages under the jurisdiction of Beizangcun Town, accounting for 32% of the town's registered population. Among them, there are more than 1,000 elderly people over 80 years old, those who are extremely poor, those who are on minimum living allowances, those who are disabled, those who live alone, and those who are empty-nesters. The elderly are scattered, have few children to accompany them, and have many service needs.
"We have also established a ledger of special elderly groups in the town, including the elderly, those who have lost their only child, and those in extreme poverty. We promptly resolve the difficulties in the lives of special elderly people through home visits and other forms of services, and achieve full coverage of home services for special elderly people on demand." said a relevant person in charge of Beizangcun Town.
At the same time, the Beizang Village and Town Elderly Care Service Consortium has carried out all-round and multi-level elderly care services around the six major service projects of "smart hotline, precise care, health services, entertainment and assistance for the elderly, home safety, and filial piety culture". The smart elderly care service hotline is staffed 24 hours a day to provide offline service appointments, convenient consultations, appointment registrations, care and condolences, demand surveys, information verification, emergency help and other call services for the elderly.
In addition, the town has also formulated the "Mechanism for Discovering the Needs of the Elderly and Comprehensively Solving Problems" to provide institutional guarantees for the "361 Smart Elderly Care" service model.
