Recently, FAW Hongqi announced that the first verification prototype of the E007, a blockbuster product produced by the brand's 3 series product line, was successfully trial-produced and rolled off the production line at the trial production department of the vehicle development institute of the R&D headquarters. Previously, the concept car of E007 was unveiled during the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, showing the future design direction of Hongqi's new energy SUV products.

The Hongqi E007 project team took only 26 days from the production of the first module to the rollout of the first vehicle. The debugging team innovatively adopted a high-voltage system test mode based on BMS simulation, which enabled them to discover and resolve the electrical functions of the vehicle in advance through bench testing, shortening the vehicle electrical inspection cycle by one month.

The interior and exterior trial production team optimized the internal structure of large-sized plastic parts that affected the progress of trial production. The project team conducted multiple rounds of electrical bench and verification sample material inspection, bench testing and sample status inspection to provide solid guarantee for the high-quality and high-efficiency roll-off of the first verification sample of the E007 project.

FAW Hongqi disclosed that the car will be equipped with Tiangong's pure electric HME platform, with a low-temperature endurance of more than 70% of the normal-temperature endurance and a power consumption of less than 11.9kWh per 100 kilometers. The mass-produced car is expected to be launched in the first quarter of next year.
