The project area is 100 square meters. The project location is: Shenzhen, Guangdong. The designer said in the front: In recent years, with the change of residential concepts and the pursuit of quality of life by young people, homes have become more focused on the openness of space and emotional communication between family members. The freedom of space in this case includes more dimensions, optimizing and filling the service functions of the home, and realizing a space for the owner and his wife that can reflect their unique taste and attitude towards life.

▲Floor plan

▲Entrance perspective: the non-load-bearing walls in the public area are removed to create a diversified home space, increasing daylight and magnifying vision; different floor materials are used to effectively distinguish the public area. The four functional areas of living room, dining room, kitchen and multi-functional study are closely connected, which is both open and interactive, with smooth and interconnected traffic lines.

▲Living room, huge French windows capture the vast outdoor scenery into a painting, and the interior is brighter, breaking the rules of the TV center. The redesigned layout emphasizes the diversity and relaxation of the home, and translates a different scenery between the inside and the outside. The owner and his wife like the simple and retro space with a touch of texture, so they use earth-colored art paint as the base, use walnut, leather, warm and lively tones, and add vitality with green plants. An Eames lounge chair is placed in front of the French window to create a quiet and far-reaching leisure reading corner.

▲The velvet carpet matches the wooden coffee table very well, and has a soft texture that is recognized by both humans and cats.

▲The owner couple loves open kitchens and hopes to enjoy the fun of cooking with their family; therefore, the designer decided to demolish the original independent kitchen, choose wood materials as the basis, supplemented by stone, rock slabs, etc., to create a clean and light space atmosphere; build a straight-line cabinet against the wall, with built-in kitchen appliances, which looks beautiful and neat

▲The combination of dining table + island can accommodate multiple people for dining, and can also be used as a kitchen workbench. Track sockets are installed on the side of the island using the height difference to meet the use of small appliances. The background is a whole row of high cabinets in the entrance hall. The rattan dining chairs are matched with a flying saucer chandelier, which has both beauty and texture.

▲The multifunctional room is designed with double entrances to form a migratory line. The sliding door can be hidden in the wall. When closed, it becomes an independent study room without being disturbed. When opened, it can also make the public area brighter, more transparent and larger.

▲The owner can also share good times with his family while working. The ergonomic office chair makes study and work more comfortable. The USM lockers placed against the wall effectively solve the storage problem of sundries or books. The overall tone is calm and individual, highlighting the specific value of the space.

▲The sunlight shines through the blinds, creating a very atmospheric study room

▲The second bedroom continues the main theme of the space, and the view outside the window is a natural decorative painting, creating a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere

▲The light grey cotton bedding creates a cozy and warm visual experience under the soft warm light. An open grid is designed near the head of the bed for easy display of items, while avoiding the conflict between the traditional cabinet door and the bedside table when it is opened.

▲The master bedroom, with walnut half-height wall and artistic paint wall, is warm and stylish. The vibrant plants next to it add a natural and harmonious atmosphere. The wall of the second bedroom on the left is cleverly adjusted (as can be seen in the floor plan), which not only expands the storage space, but also makes room for the cloakroom.

▲The chest of drawers at the end of the bed highlights the medieval aesthetics
