From July 29 to August 5, the 2024 Ping An Hope Primary School Summer Camp and Seed Lecturer and Teacher Training Activity, co-organized by the China Youth Development Foundation and Ping An of China, was held in Chengdu, providing immersive situational teaching for rural students through themes such as humanities, history, and science education.
115 teachers and students from Ping An Hope Primary School visited the Giant Panda Base and Dujiangyan Scenic Area together to enrich their knowledge of biodiversity and water conservancy; toured the Sanxingdui Museum and Du Fu Thatched Cottage to experience the charm of humanities and history; and visited Sichuan University of Electronic Science and Technology to appreciate the university's spiritual culture of "seeking truth and being magnanimous and ambitious."
As one of the member companies of this event, Ping An Health Insurance specially invited Liao Chunju, a psychological counselor from the Health Management Center of West China Second Hospital, to bring a mental health course to teenagers aged 8-13, providing teaching content including physiological development, emotional cognition, emotional management, and fun interactive activities, aiming to help children scientifically understand themselves, understand the mechanism of emotion generation, and learn to manage emotions, so as to better cope with the challenges in learning and life and achieve comprehensive physical and mental health development. A relevant person in charge of Ping An Health Insurance said: "Through the summer camp, children can step out of the classroom and use their vacation time to participate in immersive and experiential offline activities, opening a window to explore the outside world. Children all have times when they are under great pressure from studying. We hope that this course will enable them to pay attention to their mental health, take care of their emotions, and grow up healthier and happier."
