On August 5, Huidong County, Huizhou City held a launching ceremony for the "Love Repair" project of vertical assistance to cultivate provincial model village schools. It is reported that the project was jointly organized by the vertical assistance team stationed in Huidong County, Huidong County Education Bureau, Guangdong Provincial Water Conservancy and Hydropower Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., and Huizhou Huidong Guangtou Engineering Co., Ltd.
The project involves six provincial model village schools (Duozhu Huangsiyang Primary School, Duozhu Bawei Primary School, Lianghua Qixingdun Primary School, Baokou Dawei Primary School, Xunliao Second Primary School, Xunliao Lanchong Primary School) in four townships (Duozhu Town, Lianghua Town, Baokou Town, and Xunliao Resort). The renovation investment is about 900,000 yuan, including roof repairs, wall demolition and reconstruction, line modification, and equipment updates.
The launch of the "Love Repair" project, which is intended to cultivate provincial-level typical village schools, is an important measure for the vertical assistance team stationed in Huidong County to give full play to the high-quality resources of state-owned enterprises, optimize the campus environment, and improve local education and teaching conditions. It effectively implements the "Thousand Enterprises Helping Thousand Towns, Ten Thousand Enterprises Revitalizing Ten Thousand Villages" action and promotes the "Hundreds of Millions of Projects" to go deeper and more practical.
Xie Ruiqin, deputy secretary of the Huidong County Party Committee, said that all units should continue to establish and improve mechanisms for the participation of social forces, actively mobilize corporate and private forces to participate in school infrastructure construction, allow more social forces to devote themselves to the "hundreds of millions of projects" in education, and create a good atmosphere of co-construction and sharing.
In recent years, Huidong County has attached great importance to the construction of the education system. It has successively completed the construction of three new schools, including Xizhijiang Primary School, Pingshan No. 8 Primary School, and Daling No. 5 Primary School, and the relocation project of Andun Huangsha Primary School, the demolition and reconstruction of eight boarding schools including the student dormitory building of Baihua Lianjin Middle School, and the renovation and expansion projects of 14 school buildings including Jilong Shihutou Primary School. A total of 11,325 new public compulsory education places, 2,400 junior high school beds and 56 teacher apartments have been added. The total investment in the project is about 420 million yuan.
The relevant person in charge of the Huidong County Education Bureau said that the "Love Repair" project will further improve the school conditions of rural schools in Huidong County, promote the balanced distribution of educational resources, and improve the quality of education in rural schools. "Next, the Huidong County Education Bureau will strengthen project supervision in accordance with laws and regulations to ensure project quality and construction safety, and strive to put it into use in the autumn semester."
