On August 6, the Sino-Polish ship "Bomig" was officially named and delivered at the Jiangsu Kouan Shipyard. The Polish Ambassador to China Gu Tianwei attended the naming ceremony. The Sino-Polish ship "Bomig" will go to Jiangsu Taicang Port on its maiden voyage to load Chinese export equipment such as wind power and transformers.
According to reports, the Sino-Polish "Bo Mi Ge" is the sixth ship in the Sino-Polish company's 62,000-ton multi-purpose heavy-lift ship series, and is the world's largest multi-purpose heavy-lift ship with the largest deadweight tonnage. The ship is 199.9 meters long, 32.26 meters wide, 19.3 meters deep, and has a full-load draft of 13.5 meters. It is equipped with four heavy-lift cranes on the side, with a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tons, and can flexibly load various sizes of heavy equipment cargo.
From 2021 to 2023, five 62,000-ton ships of China-Poland Shipping Company, including Taixing, Herbert, Pilecki, Yongxing and Yu'an, were put into operation one after another, and put into liner routes to North America, Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand, completing the transportation tasks of multiple Chinese export projects such as complete sets of wind power, barges, large RTGs and engineering locomotives.
