On August 5, the Guangdong Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau of the State Grid Corporation of China took the lead in completing the grid-connected trial operation of the electric-connect adapter device of the core substation equipment at the 110 kV Jianfeng substation. This is the first electric-connected application of core power equipment in China, marking the successful interconnection and integration of the electric-connected system and the main equipment of the power system, and is a landmark breakthrough achieved by the State Grid Corporation of China in this field.
In order to accelerate the digital transformation of the power grid, break through the "bottleneck", promote scientific and technological self-reliance, and create a pilot demonstration zone for digital power grid construction, the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau launched a 110 kV Jianfeng substation demonstration transformation project at the end of 2023. The project is an integrated intelligent operation and maintenance system based on the "Dianhong" platform, an IoT operating system independently developed by the Southern Power Grid. It integrates substation professional information systems and multi-source data, and is committed to making the substation power monitoring system a "black technology" for the power system, providing replicable and referenceable technical compliance for related fields in China.
It is understood that the power Hongmeng system is the key foundation for the safe operation of the power grid. It is an IoT operating system developed by the China Southern Power Grid based on the open source Hongmeng and open source Euler systems to adapt to the characteristics of the power industry. If power equipment is likened to mobile phone hardware, the power Hongmeng system is an operating system developed based on power equipment. Its key technologies are all independently developed by the China Southern Power Grid. In special periods, it can effectively avoid the various disadvantages caused by the application of external intellectual property rights and keep cutting-edge technologies firmly in its own hands.
At the same time, the Dianhong system has the characteristics of the Internet of Everything, and it can realize functions similar to the interconnection of mobile phones, tablets, smart home terminals and other devices. Through the interconnection of the Hongmeng system, unified management and interactive collaboration can be achieved, so that the monitoring system, protection equipment, cameras, environmental sensing devices and other hardware devices in the substation can also be interconnected through the application of the Dianhong system, making information transmission and processing clearer and more efficient.
"The application of the Dianhong system is a landmark beginning for the power industry. It enables power equipment to have the function of program version upgrade and update. By building the Electric Power Hongmeng Application Market, target power equipment can be selected in batches in the market to complete the upgrade instantly, which completely realizes the self-optimization and update function." The project leader of the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau's Substation No. 1 introduced that the successful operation of the system has provided unlimited possibilities for further exploring the scenario applications of the Electric Power Hongmeng system.
A relevant person in charge of the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau introduced that in the next step, the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau will further explore the expansion and extension of the application scenarios of the power Hongmeng system based on this milestone, deeply explore the characteristics of the system that uses electricity as a medium to connect everything, actively create a demonstration benchmark for the cutting-edge technology of the State Grid Corporation of China, and build my country's core competitiveness in this field.
